Self-Relationship Practice: LOCATE

Can I find myself before I respond? Someone says something, and before you know it, you're reacting. A conversation changes direction, and suddenly you're explaining, defending, withdrawing, or trying to make things right. Someone asks what you want, and you find yourself searching for an answer that makes sense to everyone else. Sometimes you know exactly what happened. But you don't quite know what happened in you. And often, by the time you recognize it, you've already responded. What if you could find yourself before deciding what to do? Not by analyzing every thought, controlling your emotions, or forcing yourself to stay calm. But by developing the capacity to recognize what's actually happening within you—even when life is moving quickly. What LOCATE helps you practice LOCATE is a guided self-relationship practice built around real situations in your life. Through reflection and body-based inquiry, we explore how your attention, sensations, impulses, emotions, and interpretations organize your experience. You may discover that you're already preparing a defense before anyone challenges you. Or that you're trying to solve a problem before you've recognized how it affects you. Rather than immediately changing your response, LOCATE helps you discover where that response is coming from. 1 — NOTICE: What is actually happening in me? Recognize your experience before explaining it. 2 — ALLOW: Can what I find be true before I do anything about it? Let what you discover exist without immediate correction. 3 — CONTACT: What changes in me when something else enters? Recognize how another person or experience affects you. 4 — RESPOND: Did my response include me? Discover what your response is organizing around. How it works Begin anytime, at your own pace. Four guided practice themes and worksheets, weekly live gatherings, and a Telegram support room. Attend live or watch later. Participate or observe. Join LOCATE — Self-Relationship Practice
